ITS Midwest championed the cause of fostering stronger university and workforce development connections at the 16th Annual Illinois Section ITE Student Day at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT).

The 16th Annual Illinois ITE Student Day on November 1st at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) was the perfect opportunity to highlight the collaborative efforts of ITS Midwest board members in fostering stronger university and workforce development connections.
ITS Midwest board members Scott Lee (Immediate Past President) and Jessica Slaton Carroll (Illinois - Director) championed the cause and shared the cutting-edge technology, innovation, and transportation ideas along with ITS Midwest information.
The board members unwavering commitment to engaging universities and the workforce has been pivotal in bridging the gap between academia and industry, fostering a fertile ground for knowledge exchange and driving innovation in the transportation sector.

I've been at UIUC, UW-Madison, and IIT in recent days and weeks. The young professionals in and upcoming are keeping me young and somewhat connected to relevance.
Taking the time to meet with the students was a welcome break from the routine! The event not only gave us a chance to put the word out that ITS Midwest now offers a student membership, but it also provided insight as to how ITS Midwest can build working partnerships with the next generation of transportation professionals.
