Our Partners and Deployments
Applied Information's commitment to innovation and flexibility is exemplified through its collaborations with industry partners, who have enhanced traffic management, school safety, emergency response, and more throughout the Midwest. Key partnerships with regional distributors Path Master Inc. and Traffic Control Corporation (TCC) have played a pivotal role in these efforts.
- Path Master Inc.: In Beachwood and Avon, OH, Path Master collaborated with city officials to address the growing population and increased traffic concerns. These cities worked closely with their Emergency, Traffic, and Police Departments to implement Glance preemption solutions. The technology provided green lights for emergency and police vehicles, ensuring both safety and efficiency by expediting response times and enhancing driver safety. The success of these projects highlights the transformative impact of Glance solutions on these communities.
- Traffic Control Corporation (TCC): In Evansville, IN, the fire department worked closely with the traffic engineering department and secured federal funding to implement emergency vehicle preemption. This project provided green light preemption for emergency vehicles and remote communication for traffic intersections, enabling advanced monitoring and management of infrastructure at the cabinet level. In Bloomington, IN, Applied Information collaborated with TCC to provide a Smart City Solution. This included connected vehicle applications to improve safety in school zones and enhance emergency vehicle apparatus driver safety. The deployment also featured Applied Information's TravelSafely® smartphone app, designed to connect citizens with infrastructure and enhance road safety through connected vehicle applications.
Applied Information is dedicated to advancing smart city technology, focusing on making communities safer, more efficient, and better connected. Through innovative solutions and strong partnerships, Applied Information is transforming urban mobility and road safety. Applied Information looks forward to continuing its work in the Midwest and is proud to join ITS Midwest, contributing to the future of transportation through collaboration and innovation.
